Stobi Wines are Firmly on Trend this Year

Were you at the London Wine Fair in May? If not, you missed an interesting seminar on current and emerging wine trends in the UK.

Here at Signature Wines we were delighted to learn that masculine wines and sophisticated rosé wines are key emerging trends that are set to grow in popularity over the next few years. Sophia Shaw-Brown, who was leading the seminar, said: “Masculine wines are aimed at millennial consumers. They’re fuss-free and usually reds which are trying to break with tradition with stand-out packaging….Consumers are looking for individuality”. We feel that Stobi’s fuss-free, distinctive peacock packaging fits in perfectly with this trend. This is particularly the case with our bold wines such as Stobi's famous Vranec: an intense, inky wine that has an aroma of morello cherry and liquorice, combined with blackberry flavours and easy tannins. Shaw-Brown also commented on the growth of rosé, which is regaining ground in the market  - particularly as an ‘occasion’ wine – and is becoming popular amongst both male and female drinkers. Stobi has just launched its new 2014 Rosé, a deliciously light wine that is elegant yet unmistakeably fruity. With luscious strawberry flavours and just a hint of sweetness, this is the perfect wine to tempt customers who are flirting with the idea of going back to rosé, or even trying it for the first time.

Excellence as standard....that’s our Marque of Distinction
