Signature Wines Welcome Master of Wine to Taste Wines

Signature Wines was delighted to welcome Master of Wine, Caroline Gilby to Signature’s Head Office in London to taste the Stobi collection of red wines, white wines and rosé to help us select the best tasting wines from Macedonia for the UK market.
Caroline Gilby was selected specifically because she specialises in wines from the Balkans and Eastern Europe. Caroline tasted 26 wines from the Stobi Winery so she could provide Signature Wines with a detailed analysis of each enabling a final selection specifically for UK tastes. The final selection of wines will be announced shortly. During the afternoon, Caroline gave a master class on wine tasting for Signature staff to enable them to enjoy the wines and learn their unique characteristics. Caroline Gilby commented at the end of the tasting that “there were a number of interesting, well-made wines in the line-up, including some exciting indigenous grapes and a fascinating story to tell too.”
