New Stobi Wines are on Trend and Keeping it Fresh

Thanks to the tricky meteorological conditions experienced last year, the next batch of Stobi wines will be fresher than previous vintages.

As Stobi’s winemaker and oenologist Dane Jovanov explains: “The alcohol levels are lower this vintage due to the climatic conditions experienced during the harvest last year. As a result the wines have also lower pH, and a lower pH means higher acidity! Higher acidity effects the colour stability, gives better freshness, a crispier taste, and longer aroma stability. Since we didn’t have excessive sunny days the final wines have better freshness.” This is great news for your customers, as fresh wines are not only on trend but also perfect for summer drinking – and forecasts suggest we’re in for a season of wonderful sunshine. Surveys suggest that customers are looking for refreshing drinks as the weather goes hotter, and they’ll therefore love our new Stobi vintages – particularly as the underlying citrus and floral notes are still present, and indeed highlighted by the lower pH.
