Stobi Masterclass at Emerging Regions Tasting 2015

Stobi is inviting you to discover the wines of Macedonia at the ERT 2015 during a special master class.  To be held at the Leadenhall Building on Wednesday 2nd September at 10.30am the master class will run for 45 minutes.

During this time Emerging wine regions expert, wine journalist, judge and lecturer for Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe, Mr. Darrel Joseph will presenting the Macedonian wine masterclass which includes two Stobi wines, the award winning indigenous classic Vranec 2011 wine and the premium Vranec Veritas Reserve 2011. The Republic of Macedonia is located in the heart of the Balkan Peninsula and is touched by both a Mediterranean and continental climate.

Macedonia is one of the oldest regions of wine production - its vine and wine culture stretches back to 2000BC – but the sector today is very much a modern industry. Macedonia is one of the largest wine producers in the Eastern Mediterranean and benefits from dry summers and mild winters with 265 sunny days per year. This combined with its rich rocky soil conditions yield aromatic, rich, full-bodied wines that taste unlike anything you might have already enjoyed from other countries.

Register to attend the Emerging Regions Tasting 2015 here. Great review from last year's ERT, "Concerning the red wines the greatest revelation of the day was the Vranec Reserve from Stobi winery (Macedonia) bold and well balanced. Vranec being a grape that I had not tasted before but absolutely memorable!" BAACO.
