Stobi Showcase New Wines and Vintages at SITT 2016

Stobi was delighted to attend both Manchester and London SITT events this year. Taking their place at the ERT (Emerging Regions Tasting) zone alongside wineries from Croatia, Hungary, Transylvania and Japan (to name a few) Stobi commented “SITT is really one of the best exhibitions for the presentation of wines from new regions.”
In participation with the Wines of Macedonia Association, Stobi showcased 2015 vintages for the popular Stobi Rosé, Cuvée and Žilavka. These complimented best-selling UK lines from the 2013 vintage Vranec, Vranec Veritas Reserve, Syrah Barrique and Petit Verdot Barrique. New wines on show included the R’kaciteli and Axios (Merlot) wines. The ERT Zone featured Wine Walks with award winning wine writer, speaker, publisher and consultant, Simon Woods leading the tours in Manchester and Co-Chairman of the International Wine Challenge and respected restaurant consultant, Peter McCombie MW hosting the tours in London. For both exhibitions Wine Walks Stobi presented their Aminta 2013 wine. Attendance on the Stobi stand was very frequent with visitors interested in tasting and getting information about Stobi's range of wines, especially the new varieties. Awareness for European Wines is increasing and Stobi were delighted to see many familiar faces in the ERT zone including Steven Spurrier, Caroline Gilby, Oz Clarke and Peter McCombie.
