Stobi to show new vintage and new wines at SITT London / Manchester 2016

We are delighted to announce that Stobi will be attending the SITT event in London and Manchester next week.
On show will be the wines listed below, some of which are to be shown in the UK for the very first time – so well worth a visit to taste reds from the Private Reserve collection. Stobi Aminta 2013 Colour: Cherry-garnet colour. Aromas: Ripe red fruits and elegant spiciness of red pepper and herbs. Taste: Full-bodied, beautifully structured with velvet tannins, long and fruity after-taste. Winemaker’s note: The strong rustic Vranec is elegantly tamed with the soft Merlot, complemented by the delicate Cabernet Sauvignon. Soft and concentrated, reinforced with herbal notes. Type of wine: Dry red wine, barrel aged Vintage: 2013 Region, country: Tikvesh, Macedonia Grapes: 34% Vranec, 33% Merlot, 33% Cabernet Sauvignon Ageing: 24 months in oak barrels Food pairing: To be served with mature cheese, prosciutto, roast veal, lamb and pork. Axios 2013 Colour: Purple with ruby nuance. Aromas: Intensive black pepper, elegant spiciness and herbs, penetrating aromas of berries. Taste: Spicy notes with remarkable mineral tone. Soft enveloping tannins. Winemaker’s note: Full-bodied concentrated Merlot. Fine texture that lasts on the palate offering soft tannins, fruit acidity and great minerality. Type of wine: Dry red wine, barrel aged Vintage: 2013 Region, country: Tikvesh, Macedonia Grapes: 100% Merlot Ageing: 18 months in oak barrels Food pairing: To be served with lamb, veal, roasted pork, mature chees and, roasted sweet chestnuts. In addition, this is also the first opportunity to taste some of our favourites from the Stobi collection in the new 2015 vintage, including the indigenous Žilavka and Vranec alongside newcomer to the UK R’kaciteli.

Colour: Greenish-yellow Aromas: Citrus and honey Taste: The taste is soft and long-lasting, sour-fresh and rounded. Medium bodied. Winemaker’s note: Fleshy, very fresh attack with clean, clear-cut aromas, persistent honey and citrus with gentle acidity and long aftertaste Type of wine: Dry white wine Vintage: 2015 Region, country: Tikvesh, Macedonia Grapes: 100% R’kaciteli Ageing: Stainless steel tank Food pairing: In the summer hot days it is a refreshing white wine, to be consumed with light appetizers, white meat, cheese, fish, green seasonal salads.
