Head wine maker Dane Jovanov who works alongside his father Goko Jovanov produces beautiful quality wines at affordable prices, something which is at the very core of their wine making philosophy and Stobi’s ethos. Goko is Stobi’s oldest and most experienced ecologist with more than 35 years of experience in wine making, especially in phase of growing the vine in the vineyards. Goko oversees the ripening, irrigation, protection of the grapes and makes the final decision of when to start the harvest of each variety of wine. In addition he focusses on winemaking especially for the domestic and international wine variants. The biggest part of wine making process at Stobi is led by Dane Jovanov who represents a new generation of professional wine makers who are well educated, in Dane’s case in Macedonia, Italy and Slovenia, and follows new market trends and to fulfil the needs in wine industry. Dane works closely with Andon Krstevski, another of Stobi’s ecologist who was educated in France with a working experience of over 2 years responsible for production control, especially in the barrique department which produces some of Stobi’s finest wines including the Stobi Petit Verdot Barrique and Vranec Veritas Resrve. This exceptional team of professional winemakers ensure Stobi maintain high quality standard of wines to be proud of. Sales of Stobi wines are looking healthy in the international markets, moving in a stabile positive direction which continues to increase year on year. Russia, China, Netherlands, USA and of course EX YU countries are their biggest buyers this year.
