Signature Wines’s three day trip to Scotland included attending an evening event which saw selected Stobi Wines take centre stage for a food and wine pairing to launch the brand.The event was organised by Wine Importers Scotland and hosted at the beautiful Pitbauchlie House Hotel. Guests were by invitation only and included both private wine collectors and friends of the owner. The Hotel is one of Wine Importers longest clients and so was a perfect setting to launch the Stobi collection.

We are delighted to see columnist Will Young list the Stobi Žilavka as One of the ‘Five Best Wines You’ve Never Heard Of’ in the Wall Street Journal Food & Drink ‘Life’ section, in his own words, “the perfect – and most unusual – wines for springtime”.
This wonderfully vibrant, pink rosé is made from the flagship local Varnec grape alongside Cabernet Sauvignon to produce an elegant yet fruity wine. Delicate aromas of strawberries with soft juicy flavours and a nicely balanced hint of sweetness. A delightfully pretty wine, perfect for summer lunches or as an aperitif.
The Stobi Žilavka is a fresh and spicy wine made from the interesting local grape variety Žilavka. Flavours of lemon and white peach make this characterful wine a perfect with simply grilled fish. While the lingering white pepper gives a great balance and a long finish.
